A subscription library of production-ready modules

Stop rebuilding the same integration. Drop in a shell instead.

Code Shells is a growing library of prebuilt, self-contained modules — payments, auth, storage, and more — each one immediately usable out of the box, and built to extend when your app outgrows the default. First month free on the Basic plan.

Built by the same team running BigDeposit and Secure Share in production — not a weekend side project.
The problem

Every new project starts with the same week of plumbing.

And it's not really the hours — it's day three of a new idea, still wiring up auth instead of building the thing you actually wanted to build.

You've built this before

Stripe subscriptions, magic-link auth, signed download URLs — the same handful of integrations, rebuilt from scratch on every new project.

Tutorials rot, templates lock you in

A blog post's code sample breaks against this month's SDK. A SaaS boilerplate template locks you into someone else's framework choices.

Skip it, and the plumbing is still there next project — and the one after that.

The fix

One subscription. The whole shelf of modules. Wired the same way every time.

Immediately usable

Every shell ships with an agent.md brief — the exact install command, env vars, and one call site to wire it in. No source-reading required to get started.

Built to extend

A fixed contract (manifest.json + impl/<runtime>/) means adding capability later never means fighting the original structure.

New shells, included

The catalog grows continuously. Every active plan gets access to what's already there and everything added after.

Questions

Before you ask

What's actually in a "shell"?

A self-contained module — a manifest describing what it does, an AI- and human-readable integration brief, and a working implementation you can drop into your own project. See the format at code-shells/README.md in the source repo if you're technical.

Do all three plans unlock the same catalog?

Session and Basic get the full catalog. Enterprise gets everything Basic does, plus shells specifically for deployment, infrastructure-as-code, and end-to-end testing methodology.

When does my card actually get charged?

Basic: never during your first 30 days — cancel before then and you're not charged at all. Session bills per day from the start; it's built for short, occasional use, not a trial.

How do affiliate payouts work?

Referrals are attributed permanently at signup. Every time your referral's subscription renews, your commission is calculated and paid out to your connected account automatically — not just on their first payment.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes — one click from your account page, effective at the end of your current paid period, no retention flow.
